Fred Wilson (Charles Grodin – Sunburn, Midnight Run), a magnate from Petrox Oil, and Jack Prescott (Jeff Bridges – Tideland, The Big Lebowski), a counter-culture paleontologist, are sailing to an unexplored island. On their way they find Dwan (Jessica Lange – Broken Flowers, Big Fish) on a rescue boat in the middle of nowhere.

Once on the island they find local natives worshiping a huge gorilla called Kong. They abduct Dwan to offer her in sacrifice to the beast… But Wilson and Prescott capture Kong and take him back to New York for exhibition; King Kong escapes and brings panic trying to find his love again.
