In Tophet Campaign, the young journalist Higgens, the fearless war hero Rico and the brave woman soldier Flores land with the rest of the unit on a desert planet. They meet a group of humanoid creatures who make them feel at home – but in a peculiar way. Lieutenant Razak is helped by a newly designed Trooper robot that saves the group from a heavy ambush conducted by a hoard of enormous insect warriors. But the human-like creatures have a few more surprises in store for the soldiers – who see yet again that the galactic war against the insects is far from over.
